You really have to see it

Today we viewed Ugly House.  Good grief.  Not only is it spectacularly ugly, you can hardly see the view because of all the (lovely) trees and the ground is so lumpy moving the house would cost a fortune.  It was beyond horrible and we hated it.  There was also a slightly creepy disused quarry (which the dog would break her neck in) and we were told there had already been several asking price offers.  Our reaction was - great, tell them to crack on then!  Sigh.

So we went back to Catbrook.  We still love it.  I phoned the agent to arrange an internal viewing (which we haven't done yet despite 4 visits) and it seems I was on her 'hit list' to phone 'to find out where you are'.  Well, it seems we are still here, our offer is still rejected and we're still cash buyers.

I arrange a viewing for Friday.  It seems it will be with the newer agent who I had previously spoken to on the phone who was less 'estate agent savvy', so we can get some good advice.

In the meantime, we're off to the Grand Designs Live exhibition at the NEC.  For some ideas!

And maybe a pink hard hat...
